Dog With Wet Underarms

Chiang Mai. From now from Thailand

The flight was short and sweet. Only we have made a little stupid. Our visas we have applied in Vietnam already was already expired. Too bad. Now we only have a stamp for a month stay. That means we have to again to Laos in order to apply for another visa.
Chiang Mai is quite touristy. On the first night we met Michael on the couch surfers. With him we are through the city over strolled the night market and he has told us much about the city. The first day we are alone considered by the city and have several temples (Wat). These are available throughout the country as a penny. But they are just wonderful.
On the second day we are with Michael, Wat Doi Suthep, located on a 1056 meter high mountain. According to legend, the place was for the temple by an elephant of a holy relic was elected. In 1371 the relic was actually at Wat Suan Dok temple are revered, but it broke in two. The second piece is packed on the back of an elephant to the Doi Suthep mountain climbed up and stopped on the road twice. After three days, the elephant finally reached a flat piece of land, turned in a circle three times and died. In the place was a hole dug for the relic was then covered with a seven-meter high chedi.
From there we went on a banned way back to Chiang Mai, on a river and several waterfalls along led. This was again pure adventure. Thanks for the time that gave us Michael. Is really a fine person.
The next day we rented a taxi and have to Doi Inthanon National Park. There we were at the highest point of Thailand at 2565 meters. It rained, it was fresh and we went a little nature trail along. Everything was overgrown with mosses and ferns. We expecting every moment to take on fairies and trolls. Simply fantastic. Then we have scoured several waterfalls, which in the rains had also well grounded. When one that crashed over 2 cascade, were a few New Zealanders with the canoe about 20 feet high second Cascade are simply shut down times. So what we have never seen mad. Bungee Jumping in contrast, looks like children's carousel.
Our next destination is called Pai in the far north.
